I am new to this list and am seeking help re the death of my great uncle John MacDougall in Selkirk in 1897. He was an Hotel Keeper and died of a fractured skull. A James McAuley occupier was the informant. I don't know the hotel, but wondered if there would have been a report in a local newspaper of his death. Where could I find out where the information might be If I can help anyone with a Perthshire query I would be pleased to do so Kay
