dear listers, ...thanks to some very kind souls out there i have some limited information on what appears to a single family in the northumberland area. ...i have a marriage for micheal larwood and mary elcoat c 1799, newcastle-upon-tyne. ...i have an 1881 census listing for the household of a widow mary larwood: mary larwood w 68 F Spittal, Northumberland, Eng head michael larwood u 28 M Blyth, Northumberland, Eng son, labourer and a domestic servant, elizabeth cooper (53, blyth) ...do these individuals show up on any other easily accessible role? (tax, census, etc?) ...if not, what would be the suggestions of this group for attempting to ascertain where the original michael came from? and perhaps his trade? ...i would assume he came from the norfolk area, but it seems that the larwoods are a particularly common name there...and well, quite frankly, norfolk is large enough to hold a good many more than i can sort through one by one... :) ...any tricks of the trade i might make use of to find the family of micheal sr...? ...please, and thanks. ...HSBF!!! -xXx- mona larwood
