Hello Borders Listers. I think that there may be a problem with the Peebles-Shire list. I think that in some way the site is DOWN. Being a newbie to rootsweb.lists I do not know what I should do next. My ownly thought at the moment is to copy my listing to Peebles-shire list to the Borders list and keep my fingers crossed. Hello Peebles listers, This is my first time on this list. I am looking for contact with some kind soul who might be able to help find my g.grandmother. She MARY HUNTER ROBERTSON. She is the daughter of GEORGE ROBERTSON and ISABELLA BEATTIE. She was born, 1939 in Selkirk(this on 1881 sensus). She married ROBERT CLEGHORN in Innerleithen on 13 Dec 1861. She spent nearly all her married life in Peebles where she died 25 Nov 1898. Her father had died before her marriage day, but her mother was still alive. One of the witnessess to the marriage was George Robertson, who may have been a brother or a cousin. This is all the information I have about Mary. I have been trying to progress research on this female line of my ancestory for over three years now with nothing to show except for what was found when I found my g.grandfather.
