Looking for any connection to Thomas LITTLE, b. May 8, 1854, in we believe the Dumfries area in Scotland his parents were Thomas LITTLE and Isabelle ALLEN. His obituary states that as a young child the family moved to England. We think that Thomas Little was probably from the Border area and his move to England was just across the border...so to speak. Thomas Little migrated from Liverpool, England to Philadelphia, PA, September 28, 1868. He is on the ships passenger list as age 14, a miner, and traveling alone. He worked in the Southern Illinois coal mining industry ending his career as an Illinois State mine inspector. Family stories tell that Thomas Little's parents died and he left behind two sisters when he immigrated. Any help will be appreciated. Barbara Little
