Thomas Runciman (his father) for the bridegroom and John Ridpath - her brother- for the bride cautioners-proclaimed and married. Runciman In church 25th Oct 1818 John born 7inst - son to Thomas Runciman hind (sp) in Newbigging and Mary Ridpath his wife. Runciman At Thurstonmains codem die Jean and Mary born 22 April twin daughters to Thomas Runciman hind (sp) in Newbigging and Mary Redpath his wife - witnesses John Watt, William Turner and several others. Would anyone know what hind (sp) in Newbiggin means, 7inst, and codem die? Thanks for your help. Alethea
