Hi Everyone I have a marriage record of my 4th great grandparents and I was wondering if someone may have heard of the place name (if I read it right). It says John LOCKIE, Nursaryman, Kelso, and Catherine ROBERTSON daughter of Robert ROBERTSON Schoolmaster of Sprouston, residing "foot of the Pleasance with M. SCOTT" gave of ??? Witnesses Thomas Gray BAKER Kelso "Good Brother???" and John COLQUHOUN, "Leod" of the Pleasance". (Record of the Parish of St. Cuthbert's Edinburgh) Sorry for the "" and ?? but I can't make it out on the document. Where is this "Pleasance" and did I read the words after the witnesses correctly?
