I am a new member seeking links with MOFFAT, DODDS, PURVES and LAIDLAW families from the Melrose Kelso area 1700-1870. John Moffat b 13 nov 1777 married Christine Purves ( b 1815 Kelso d Feb 1856). Apparently they and their children emigrated to Wexford in Ireland where the eldest daughter Jessie Dodds Moffit married John Black. They and their children then emigrated to Australia.
