Hello, I have some information about my family that I have obtained from the 1851 census given to me by a fellow lister. I thought that one of the sons listed was my ancestor who immigrated to Canada. However, some other information has been sent to me which makes it appear that this son may not in fact be the ancestor I was looking for. My question is whether there is an 1861 census available. If one is available and somone has access I would appreciate very much if they could look up William Pringle in Castelton and his wife Janet. Also if you could look up William Elliott Pringle and his wife Christian Elliot in Dumfries I would greatly appreciate the help. If there is no 1861 census does anyone else have a suggestion on how to determine if this is my William Elliot Pringle.? Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Peggy
