Hello, I'm glad that some interest has finally been sparked off- where were you all? Here's where I am stuck: Thomas Runciman born 1791? in Berwickshire/ East Lothian. Married Mary Ridpath in Innerwick 1812. He was noted to be at Newbigging as a hind on two of his children's birth records. I know my problem would be on it's way to being solved if SKS would check the 1841 and 1851 censuses for me to find out where they were. His children were: Catherine Runciman c. 10-10-1813 in Oldhamstocks, m. 17-2-1837 in Coldingham to Ninian Carre. Thomas Runciman c. 21-5-1816 in Coldinham William Runciman c. 16-4-1828 in Coldstream m. 10-12-1850 in Ohio, USA Mary Runciman c.8-5-1821, Innerwick m. 22-3-1850 to John Wood in Coldstream Jean Runciman c. 8-5-1821, Innerwick m. 30-5-1844 to George Smith in Chirnside John Runciman c. 25-10-1818 in Innerwick m. 7-2-1840 in Ladykirk to Isobel Palmer (Pilmuir) I would be greatful if someone could check the 1841 census for John Runciman and isobel palmer in berwickshire- Ladykirk, and the 1851 one. Also my brickwall is findin where thomas runciman and Mary Ridpath were. Newbigging seems to crop up n the birth records so I don't know if he can be found on the censuses of the two farms- Newbigging and Newbigging Walls for 1841 and 1851? Please, please, please can someone have alook for me??? I am certainly hitting that wall hard now. Thank you and best of luck with your own searches, Alethea
