First time posting on the list.I am researching the surname GRIEVE from Branxholme Braes Hawick.Amongst many names I have James Grieve b 22nd Dec. 1773 , his wife Ann (Sibbald) they mar 1797 and had 12 children, including twins who only lived a few hours.Later other names include , Robert (died 1920) Elliott , Vivian mar Nora, William, James, Winnifred.Places include Shaftesbury Dorset 1922, Abergavenny 1931,Singapore and China area 1930-1950 , Clapham Sussex 1993. Professions include Farmer, Hosiery/wollen mills at Hawick and a shop selling these items in London 1936,, even a jockey called Willie Grieve who rode in China ? Any help most appreciated.
