Do you know what records the IGI for Norham is based on? North of the Border, the extracted data is only based on the registers of the Church of Scotland, and folk from other denominations do not appear. Especially in the Borders, this can be a significant slice of the community. What does his marriage cert say about who carried out the marriage? What sort of Minister? When you know the type of church he married in, you have an idea of where to start looking for baptismal records.
