George Middlemas (born Feb. 24, 1787), Stitchel, Roxburgh, Scotland, (Father: George Middlemas and Isobel Brotherson ....who were married July 12, 1782, in Stitchel, Roxburgh.)? Is Stitchel near Kelso? Anyone with connections of any sort? George , the son , and his brothers, Peter and David, emigrated to Nova Scotia, Canada, in 1815. They were part of the group of founding settlers to start a small rural community in the heart of Nova Scotia with a true scottish name, Caledonia! I think that there must have been sisters left behind in Scotland. I live in George Middlemas' original ancestral home in Nova Scotia.
