I haven't posted for a while. Have been trying to find a direct link between the two spellings DUMMA/DIMMA. I have a lot of Dumma and Dimma names from the UK and Germany. Has anyone made any connections between them? I have James DUMMA married Helen HAY Oct. 30, 1818 in Eccles, Berwick, Scotland. He was born 1790 in Kelso and she was born about 1800. They had 7 known children: Adam b. May 18, 1819, Stitchel, Roxburgh Jane b. Aug. 11, 1821, Stitchel Janet b. Nov. 22, 1823, Stitchel William b. June 7, 1826, Stitchel John b. Aug. 14, 1829, Stitchel d. June 12, 1889 Edinburgh Helen b. ? Isabella b. 1836, Coldstream, Berwick I also have many descendants that are too numerous to list here.
