My family and I are planning a trip to Scotland, with the idea in mind that I can do some firsthand researching. My gr-gr-gr-grandparents were marrried in Lilliesleaf, Roxburghshire, and I have found births registered and listed in autobiographies in Bowden, Earlston, and Roxbury. Is anyone familiar with the Borders and their seasons, et.al. Since I want to use my air miles, we won't be traveling during the peak season (Jun-Sept). Also, I have arthritis and cold/wet affects all my joints adversely. What are other good seasons for traveling in Scotland? Are there any left <Grin>? Can a "fur-renner" like me get into libraries, record centers, etc? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
