Hi Lesley I too have roots in Hutton and I am trying to connect my indirect line now. I have a Jane Porter born 8 Dec 1821 - father David Porter and mother Elizabeth Cairns. All of their 10 children were born in Hutton. I only know what happened to 6 of them. Do you think she may be your Jane? Regards Heather from Australia

Hi Susan, I have been following this thread a bit and noticed CAIRNS, and would like to compare notes on that line, as I have a Mathewson CAIRNS born about 1805, who married a John NELSON in 1824. Unfortunately, I do not have much more on Mathewson. regards, Gary in Vancouver
