Hi, Can anyone help me trace the ancesters of Walter Jackson believed to have been born 18th August 1785. I Have traced back to a marriage of Walter Jackson to Nelly Hope 20th June 1806 at Wilton in Hawick. I have been able to trace Nelly,s family back but cannot find any link for Walter. There is a marriage of a Thomas Jackson to a Betty Veitch 15th December 1782 at Cavers in Roxburghshire, I wondered if there was a connection but have been unable to find any register of Walters birth.
