    3. While doing look-ups for Presbyterians from the Scottish border counties in Northumberland I noticed the following : At Harbottle Presbyterian Church 1737-1754 : MIDDLEMIST, John; Selkirk 1742 If there is anyone on the BEW or BORDER lists who is unaware of the look-ups I have been doing on the ROX list, I am happy to extend the offer. For your information, there is a list of "Presbyterian Migration into Northumberland" in the Borders Family History Society Magazine No. 19 of June 1992. The introduction says "Printed on the following pages is part of a list of names extracted from the Communion Rolls of some Presbyterian churches in Northumberland. They contain the names of people who had moved from the Scottish Borders into the areas of the churches shown. Under the heading of each church or chapel, the names are followed by place of residence and occupation (where known), the place from which the person came, and the year. Our thanks are extended to the Northumberland and Durham Family History Society for their kind permission to reprint the list and also to Don Mason who researched the article for their Journal." Churches/chapels listed are : Lowick Presbyterian Church 1848-1860 Chattan Presbyterian Church 1850-1860 Harbottle Presbyterian Church 1737-1754 The article continues in the Borders Family History Society Magazine No. 20 of October 1992 which lists : Tower Hill Chapel, Wooler, 1843-1860 Clavering Place, Newcastle 1804-1855 and Westmoreland Road, Newcastle 1855-1860 Seaton Delaval Presbyterian Church 1850-1860 Falstone Presbyterian Church 1795-1860 Etal Presbyterian Church 1777-1783 The lists for each church/chapel range from about 3 (Seaton Delaval) to 90 (Harbottle) names. I am willing to do look-ups if you are willing to be patient. Valerie Henshaw Melbourne, Australia
