I have Jane Baptie b 1791 in Selkirkshire d aft 1841 near Morebattle who was married to Thomas Oliver, a shepherd, b 1765 Morebattle d 1838 Morebattle. They had children George, William, Jessie, Thomas, Andrew, James, John, Alexander, Isabel, Robert. I have seen her on a census listed as "Jean" I believe her to be the daughter of William Baptie and Janet Stoddart. The Stoddart's other children were Barbara, Isobel, Elizabeth, Margaret, William. Alexander Oliver became a prominent leader in the Church of Scotland living in Glasgow. Is anyone connected to this line?
