Looking for information on a CARMICHAEL family. John CARMICHAEL married Mary St. Clair MacDOUGALL in 1884. John was the son of Robert CARMICHAEL and Helen HENDERSON. John was in the "whisky" business. He, his wife and family were quite well off. John & Mary had three daughters, Ethel 1886, Edith 1886 and Evelyn 1892. They had one son John 1894. Evelyn married Henry Arthur SMITH in 1931. Would love to find their children if they had any. John St. Clair CARMICHAEL enlisted in the Indian Army in 1919. He was with the 1st Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders (old 91st Highlanders). The family lived at Bellevue, Coldstream and had a summer home at The Crescent, Spittal, Berwick-on-Tweed.
