I am also researching the RUTHERFORD line of ANDREW RUTHERFURD & JEAN SCOT whose son was the WALTER RUTHERFURD b.1754 in Jedburgh, Roxburghshire, married to MARY BELL and whose children were, ANDREW RUTHERFORD born 1773 at Hillhead, Halfmorton, Dumfries &Galloway & JOHN RUTHERFORD born 1782 also in D&G, which Arthur mentions. Arthur & I are connected through two of the children of ANDREW RUTHERFORD b1773, Hillhead, Halfmorton, D&G & JANET JARDINE. These being JOHN RUTHERFORD abt 1808 (my line) &ANDREW RUTHERFORD abt 1823 (Arthur's line). This being the case, I would be very grateful to anybody who may have any info on these people.
