    3. Hi Chris Sorry to disappoint you but there may have been a transcription error in the 1881 Census as William HUNTER's wife was alive and well and visiting with her daughter Elizabeth age 12 at the home of William's brother John HUNTER and his wife Elizabeth (nee SMITH - the cousin of my great-grandmother Helen OLIVER nee SMITH) at Drythrople, Chatton, Northumberland. William's wife was called Isabella but I do not know her surname, she was aged 49 in 1881 (although she was 27 in 1861 and 67 in 1901), birthplace Doddington. I have seen your previous postings about BONE and wondered if you had ever come across an Alexander BONE in the early 1800s in the Kelso area. I have a record of baptisms in the Kelso registers of three daughters Janet BONE christened 1815 Elisabeth BONE christened 1817 Mary BONE christened 1819 to Alexander BONE and Anne ROUGH (the sister of my great, great, great grandfather). I have not been able to find out anything about this family after these baptisms - are there any connections with your family? Best wishes Jane Glass Alnwick -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] <[email protected]> To: [email protected] <[email protected]> Date: 15 March 2003 04:01 Subject: [BORDER] William Hunter Wooler, Northumberland, Eng >Looking for the following family from the 1881 British census.
