Nellie and Helen are often used as the same name, but be careful - there's always one family being difficult. For example, if both grandmothers were called Helen, the pressure to call a child after each of them was such that a family COULD have used the name twice. I've seen families where two living children were called James for this reason, but one was known by his middle name.
