Hi List, I wonder if anyone can advise me as to the best way to locate a family member born in HAWICK Scotland/Northumberland about 1813? Is HAWICK in Scotland or Northumberland? The woman in question is a widow, by the name of Margaret MAGNESE aged 68, living in Fakenham, Norlfolk at the time of the 1881 census. She had two children with her (Ellen and Fanny) aged 32 and 28. She may have married about 1845. I have not found any marriage or death records for her. Her daughter Ellen's marriage certificate gives the surname as MAGUESE. Any help greatly appreciated. David
