I have been unable to find Isabel HARDY on the 1851 census and hope that someone on the list has access to 1851 census records for the border area and may be able to spot her. In 1841 Isabel/Isabella HARDY was enumerated as a 62 year old widow living with her brother, William LIETCH, in North Shields. She gives her place of birth as Northumberland although William says he was born in Scotland. In the 1851 census she isn't enumerated with William LIETCH in North Shields although she died at William's home in 1852 after a prolonged illness. I'm hoping that she may have been visiting with other family members during the 1851 census, perhaps in Scotland. She was married in Kelso in 1811 and perhaps still had family there? There may also be a connection to Greenses, Etal and Berwick Upon Tweed. Thank you, Eleanor Clouter, Canada
