Thanks but this doesn't bring up anything at all. 1841 shows no matches and 1851 keeps coming up with Paisley being incompatible even though I've put in Yetholm!So perhaps they've moved and their new residence doesn't show up. Mary, I had a quick look at the Ancestry.com 1841-1861 censuses yesterday and was stumped. I could not find any of the family in any part of Scotland. I even looked in England. There may be some spelling variations, such as Jardine, but even trying various searches I was not able to find them. Could they have left the U.K. altogether by 1841? Did they emigrate to the U.S. or Australia?
