Dear Listers, I wonder if anyone knows anything about ALISON EASTON baptised 24th June 1832 in Melrose, Rox. I'm sure someone told me she had been a witness at a Primitive Methodist wedding in or around Cornhill. Her parents were John Easton and Elizabeth Scott.As my great grandfather James was also the son of John and an Elizabeth(surname unknown), who was also a Primitive Methodist in the Donaldson's Lodge area, I wondered if there might be a connection.Has anyone come across Alison on a census or know if she married? Hi Mary There is a church as you know at Cornhill but there is also an place of worship in Donaldsons Lodge which could be the Methodist Chapel, it is possible that they may have some records. Unfortunately, I do not have a name or contact but someone else on the list may be able to supply more information.
