My GG,Grandparents I don't know what happen to them. Dear George: My mother and her family came from Laughta in Co. Leitrim in Ireland. They were Brooks. In the course of looking through the 1911 Census for Laughta in Dublin, I noted down a few Johnston names as I was trying to track where my great-grandfather might have come from originally, and I was especially intrigued with the name "Glasgow" Johnston. I don't know if these are any help, and the names don't quite match, but you said they did move to Ireland in the early 1900's so maybe these Irish Johnston's might be related somehow. (Laughta is not far down the road from Sligo; it's near Bundoran.) 1911 Census, Kinlough, Ireland Glasgow Johnston, aged 54, farmer. wife Elizabeth, 44. six children (sorry, I didn't write down their names) James Johnston, 52 wife Rebecca, 44 son Christopher, 15. Best wishes with your search. Rosemary Cairns Yellowknife, NT, Canada
