Visit your local LDS Family History Library and check the 1891 census for Hawick (or log into Scots origins and search there, but with such common names it won't be easy). If you're lucky, Thomas & isabella will be living together, and the census will give you their ages and birth parishes. Alternatively, look for their wedding cert - that'll give their parents and occupations. There's all the addresses, URLs, etc, on GENUKI (don't have the URL here, but it'll turn up easily on one of the search engines). Lesley Robertson
