    3. I have a document from the National Archives of Scotland titled "Scheme of Locality of the Stipend of the Parish of Eccles" for the year 1825. It lists the "landownwers/or heirs", the "property name" and the "stipend now payable". The "stipend now payable" can be paid in "Meal", "Barley", "Wheat", " Oats" or "Money Sterling". It shows what is the "amount to be paid" by each landower. My question is: Under Meal, Barley, Wheat and Oats there are four columns, much as one has "pounds, shillings and pence" under the "Money Sterling" column. However the column headings for "Meal" and other grains has the following letters only: "B" = column 1, "F" = column 2, "P" = column 3, and "L" = column 4. I am thinking that "B" means "bushel", but have no idea what the others letters mean. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated. I will also be happy to report any "lookups" on this list of property owners that anyone might be interested in. Thanks in advance.
