Is it possible for someone to check the 1881 census for Henry FAIRLEY and/or his wife Isabella Turner FAIRLEY? According to family stories, Henry was a coachman in the employ of the Duke of Buccleuch at Bowhill and Isabella lived in the gatehouse lodge after Henry's death - but I dont have dates for their deaths. Ive ordered the 1851 census as a beginning but would appreciate help from someone with access to the 81 material. Their son William worked for Murray, Roberts and Co after his discharge from the army in 1869. He and his wife Helen Law FAIRLEY and their young children came to NZ but should also feature in the 81 census for Selkirk. Any help would be much appreciated. Jennifer
