They were married Feb 18, 1881 by Peter CARRUTHERS, Minister of the U.P. Church, Longtown. John PATTERSON then resided at Henry's Hill, Cumberland. Isabelle MURRAY resided at Trinity School House, Hawick. Is this school connected with a church? I have traced the PATTERSON line but can get nowhere with MURRAY. Can anyone help? For example: What was Trinity School House? Is it likely she was employed there? Isabelle's father, Peter MURRAY is shown as Retired Farmer. Mother Elizabeth CARRUTHERS is deceased. Could she have been connected to the officiating minister?
