    3. Sorry if I appear to ramble, please bear with me! Can anyone help with a recent avenue of research? I'm trying to find my maternal line of CAVERS in Scotland. My 3rd great grandfather was Walter CAVERS who moved from Scotland to Nottingham by 1826, marrying Jane MARTIN in that year. They had ten children, some stayed in Nottingham, (my line) but most moved to London between 1861 & his death in 1873 in Islington (he ran a business as a wholesale Milliner, and most of the female children were Milliners). On the 1881 census, his daughter, Agnes, living at 48 Kiver Rd, London, has her niece Lizzie from Nottingham living with her, also, Willie L CAVERS, born in London (male, but down on the transcript as niece!!!) (Jane is in London, again wrong transcript as Jane COVERS, living with her son's family, Robert) I've got Willie's marriage cert, giving his father as George Scott CAVERS, and a middle name of Langton, a search of IGI, gives a marriage of George Scott CAVERS & Mary LANGTON in Hawick 8th Sep 1875. If, as the 1881 census supposes, there is a family link from Willie to Agnes, to find out more on George's ancestors might give me the parents of Walter in Scotland (his death cert suggests he was born 1795) Has anyone anything on either Walter or George? IGI has a christening of a Walter in 1st Aug 1796 Kirkton, to another Walter, and one in Kirkton again, 30th Jun 1799 to James CAVERS, nothing else comes close.
