I am researching the Dumma family and any other surname that enters the family tree. I have in my husband's direct line: James DUMMA b. about 1790 married Helen HAY Oct. 30, 1818 in Eccles, Berwick, Scotland. They had five children: Adam, Jane, Janet, William and John (my husband's ancestor) b. Aug. 14, 1829 in Stitchel, Roxburgh, Scotland. John married Ann WAUGH. They had nine children: James, William, Alice, Ellen, John (b. Apr. 14, 1864 in Paston, Northumberland, England - my husband's ancestor), Ralph, Adam, Andrew, Thomas. John married Elizabeth JAMESON d. about 1921. They lived on a farm in Jedburgh called OXAMROW. They had eight children: Annie, James, John William, Leontine, Robert Jameson, Thomas (b. July 25, 1905, d. Jan. 13, 1982 - my husband's father), Helen, Violet Jameson Hogg Waugh (not born a Dumma). Thomas married Katherine Donalda MCLURE March 5, 1928 in Vancouver, B.C. Canada. She was b. Oct. 1910 d. May 5, 1984 in Surrey, B.C. They had five children and numerous grandchildren. Other surnames I am interested in: HAY, SILVER(S), WAUGH, JAMESON and others.
