William H KERSE(born c. 1848), the son of William KERSE Tailor of Leitholm, married Jane MITCHEL, possibly also of Leitholm. They moved to Kells in Ireland and had a family of 9 children. There are no birth/christening records in the OPR of either of these(or their marriage) or 4 of Williams siblings, and 3 of his cousins, all born in Eccles Parish over the 1841 to 1856 period. There was a non-conformist church in Leitholm at this period, and it is quite possible that their records rest her, ie at the SRO.
