If your Gt Gr Parents were marr 1871, all of that info' about the parents will be on the Marr. Cert. The Scottish Regd are most comprehensive, for Death Regd as well as Marr & Birth. Stow, is now a small village, but it must have been a very busy place, in the 19th centuary. It seems that there may have been a woolen mill, & a railway, at that time, from what I deduce from my research. However, there was also a large rural agriculture, work related, population. Can you read the O.P.R. film, it is quite a comprehesive film, gives a bit of an insight, with the local names coming up. There is a Church ruin, & a " new " church. I have been 2 X to Stow. !993, & 1998.
