Hi, Is there anyone who has access to the 1841 census for Spittal, (Tweedmouth / Berwick environs) who wouldn't mind doing me a look-up please? The address on three of my DOUGLAS(S) family's birth and death certificates are between 1839 and 1847 is Shore Houses. This would suggest a group of cottages or semi detached houses. One of these houses should therefore contain a family of DOUGLAS(S). Unfortunately there is no street address. A search through Spittal streets on a couple of old maps (just in case Shore Houses might be the name of a street) revealed no such street name. Paddy.
