I have found an Elizabeth Darling with occupation listed as "lady" on the 1861 census in Canada. I can't tell if that means she was a lady by peerage or just by respect. However, she appears to be the mother of John Darling who I am seeking in Berwickshire or Roxburghshire. Any thoughts? Gordon Hillman Sarnia, Ontario, Canada
