Thanks for your interest in the name Annie TULLY. I searched for the marriage of your Robert & Agnes TULLY on the IGI and found it as 5 May 1828 in Edinburgh. I did not find any listing of children born to this couple on IGI, so I cannot make a link with them for my Annie TULLY. It seems unlikely that her parents would have been married in Edinburgh. I have Annie's birthplace as being Sprouston, Roxburgh, about 1834/35. This is info from the 1881 Census at Stitchel, Roxburgh, where she is listed with her husband Francis Paterson, their children, and a person named Betsy TULLY, age 74, identified as a "relative". If we speculate a bit, Betsy could be an aunt or aunt-in-law of Annie's. Annie TULLY and Francis PATERSON were married on 11 Aug 1853 at Nenthorn, Berwick. They had 10 children, the first named Harriet (likely Annie's mother's name if the traditional Scottish naming system was used) who died in infancy, & the name was used again for another daughter.
