Dear List this is my first posting to the list so I thought I would tell you my surname interests in County Durham. They are LONGMOOR/LONGMORE, MALLINSON/KNOWLES MALLINSON, MOULD, HUNTER and BOOTH in particular in South Shields and Hartlepool. The Mallinson family came originally from Yorkshire. I would love to make contact with anyone else connected to these names - I have a lot of information to share, in fact I think I have managed to link with every Longmoor who ever set foot in Hartlepool! The name SIEVERS (or SINERS) seems to crop up too - I have no idea where from - I think it might be German. If anyone knows of any Sievers in Co. Durham I would love to know. Claire Longmoor Nottingham, UK PS I was a bit confused that there are so many lists for this area so hope it's OK I have posted to all of them. _________________________________________________________________ Stay in touch with absent friends - get MSN Messenger http://www.msn.co.uk/messenger
Claire, Do you know if ALLISON was ever a variant spelling of MALLINSON? Thanks for your information.
