Hi Does anyone know if there was a publication of Swinton Monumental Inscriptions? I have a transcript of a stone whose note said it came from such a publication by the Borders Family History Society, but their web site doesn't offer a book with the Swinton MIs in it? In case someone does have such a book, would you mind please looking for George Moffat, died 1856. According to his death register entry he was buried in the Swinton Churchyard? I'm aware of these two: John Moffat and Margaret Moffat, John Moffat and Jane Bogue, Betty, William and John all on one stone http://roger.lisaandroger.com/showmedia.php?mediaID=282&medialinkID=1494 and http://roger.lisaandroger.com/showmedia.php?mediaID=283&medialinkID=1147 William Moffat with Catherine Young and Isabella Smith on another stone http://roger.lisaandroger.com/showmedia.php?mediaID=277&medialinkID=1126 Are there any other Moffats listed there? Thanks Roger

Have a look at the bookshop on their website. Lesley Robertson
