Anne Hunt HALL, b. CA 1820 married Benjamin Wiley PEARCE. Benjamin earned a law degree from what is now the University of Alabama and served as Lieutenant Governor and Acting Governor of Louisiana during the latter stages of the Civil War after retiring from the service with a medical discharge. They had one son that I know of, William Joseph "Buck" PEARCE born Dec 12, 1847 in Ouachita County, Arkansas, then to Bienville Parish, Louisiana, and finally to Shelby County, Texas. Anne Hunt HALL is supposed to have "descended from a prominent Alabama family whose English ancestry is traced back prior to Columbus' discovery of American through the BOLLING and BORDEN family lines". I am descended from the BORDEN family on my Father's side but just found this connection on my Mother's side. If anyone out there recognized Anne Hunt HALL I would love to correspond with them.
