Dear List, I have found a connection between my Great-Grandfather, James Thomas Boone, Samuel L. Boone, his Father, and James D. Boone, his Grandfather. The first record I have for James D. Boone is his marriage in Frederick County, Maryland to Catherine Ann Smith on 23 Apr 1826. I'm now trying to find who his parents were. James, senior, was born in Pennsylvania, was a blacksmith, and lived in Frederick County for several years after his marriage. He and his family then moved to Hardy County, Virginia. A few years later, he and some of his family moved to Tuscarawas County, Ohio, where he died. James, junior, was also a blacksmith; his father, Samuel, was a shoe maker. If anyone has any information, clues, or tips about James, senior, I'd very much appreciate hearing from them.
