>From The Mississippi Baptist Record, Clinton, MS, March 12, 1885: "Mary E. Boon was born the 6th of July, 1852, in the town of Minden, Webster Parish, La., where she was raised and educated. She was the daughter of Mr. R. A. and Mrs. Melvina Lancaster, and departed this life at her home in Webster Parish, the 21st of February, 1885. She was married to W. J. Boon on the 11th of October, 1870."
