Hello, Can anyone Help! I am at a dead-end in my research on my Boon/e, Scott, and their allied families. I am asking for any help. I have not had much luck in finding out who the parents are of my great great-grandparents John D. Boone and Catherine Scott. It has always been said that John Boone, is related to Daniel Boone, but I am not sure by what line. My research though is pointing toward Jonathan, Daniel's older brother, as being how my family is related to Daniel Boone. If anyone can help me in answering this question or lead me in the right direction in my search I would greatly appreciated it. I believe John D. Boone is the son Thomas Boone and Sarah M. Gott, (who might be her parents I can't say) Thomas Boon/e born about 1800, I believe in Warren County, Kentucky and died sometime between 1822-1824 in Warren County, Kentucky. Right now, I am leaning toward John Boon/e and Hannah/Henrietta Stuart/Stewart as being Thomas Boon/e’s parents, I believe some of their childrens names are: Thomas, John, Richard Pearson, and Keziah Boone. I Know Richard P. Boone was born in Kentucky and he later moved to Arkansas and then to Texas. (I believe that their must be some relationship between Richard P. Boone and my John D. Boon/e. As my John D. Boone and Richard P. Boone, both were born in Kentucky, John born about 1822). I first find Richard P. Boone and John D. Boone in the Arkansas census, then they both move to Texas, although in different counties. Could Richard P. Boone be the uncle of John D. Boone? I am also having difficulty in finding any information on the John D. Boone wife Catherine Scott (her full name might be Mary Catherine Scott); she was born about 1825 in either Kentucky or Georgia. Catherine (Scott) Boone’s parents might be James Scott and Elizabeth __?___. After Arkansas, John Daniel Boone decided to move his family to Grayson County, Texas. I have John D. Boone, first showing up on the 1860 Grayson County, Texas census. In 1863, John Boone severed in the Texas Calvary in County C, 15 Bat. TST. as a third Lieutenant. I believe, but I cannot prove that Catherine Scott, died about 1866, in Grayson County, Texas. John D. Boone died about 1888 in Ash Grove, Greene County, Missouri. Below are the children of John D. Boone and Catherine (Scott) Boone: 1.) Mary Elizabeth Boone, born 1846 Arkansas and Married William Brackney, they had at least one daughter by the name of Fanny, born May 1870 Arkansas. 2.) Sarah "Sallie" W. or T. Boone {my line, the family bible has W. as the middle initial while the cencus has the middle initial as being W.} born July 20, 1849 Arkansas died Sept. 17, 1905 Ash Grove, Greene County, Missouri. Married John D. Smith. They had six children. 3.) Isadore "Dora or Dodie" Josephine Boone, born July 1851 Arkansas. Married December 07, 1871, Harvey Russell Goodman in Boone township, Ash Grove, Greene County, Missouri. Harvey R. Goodman, born December 1851 Missouri died Jackson Township, Polk County, Missouri. They had at least six children. 4.) William “Bill” John Boone, born 1861 Grayson County, Texas Married Alice___?____. They had at least seven children. 5.) Nancy Boone, born 1864 Grayson County, Texas. And Married Benjamin Garrett in September 05, 1875, at Robinson Township, Greene County, Missouri. 6.) Robert Scott Boone, born July 1866 Grayson County, Texas. Married (1) Cora A. Knowles, (2) Married Minnie Mae Shuler, born May 1881 Indiana. They had at least six children. Later after the war, John D. Boone took his family to Ash Grove, Greene County, Missouri. The question I have how did John hear about Ash Grove, Greene County, Missouri was it form Nathan Boone or another family member. I am looking for help in any area. If anyone can help, I would be very grateful. I am of course willing to share all information I may have on the Bonne line. If you are able to shed light on any part of the Boones, are Scott or their allied families please do not hesitate. Also, if you see any mistake with my findings please get back with me. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I have a few Photos of John D. Boone and family, as well as a letter written by John to his wife Catherine during the War Between the States. I am willing to share all information. Best regards, Kenneth
