Their son Joseph III b 30 Mar 1751. This couple had ten children; the last five all born after 1762. Commission Book 1, p282 Berks Co, PA has this information. Three Orphan's Court Records concerning the estate of Joseph BOONE Jr are found in the records of Berks Co, PA dated 14 May 1779, 7 May 1783, and 3 June 1783. These are mentioned and one given in abstract, in "The Boone Family," page 481. "Orphan's Court, May 7, 1783. Petition of Jacob BOONE, eldest son and heir at law of Joseph BOONE of Exeter, yeoman, deceased; that his father lately died intestate, leaving a widow (Elizabeth) and ten children, to wit,: the petitioner, Joseph BOONE, Thomas, Ovid, Abner, Johab, Ann, Catherine, Sarah, and Hannah, several of whom are yet in their minority." "The Widow, Elizabeth had previously filed petition in May 1779, regarding the estate of her deceased husband Joseph BOONE, and again in 1783 she petitioned court for a guardian to be appointed for her children, three of whom were under fourteen at that time." I was getting ready to double-check my files when I noticed that there is a contradiction about Joseph III. He is first listed as having a birth of 30 Mar 1751. Then in the probate area Jacob is identified as the eldest son with Joseph later mentioned. So what is the actual births of the brothers Joseph and Jacob and if possible the rest of their siblings? I have corrected my death date for Joseph BOONE, 111 to 30 Mar 1756. This is the date Pauli SMITH has and she is direct desc from this line. I have b 15 Aug 1754 for Jacob. I do have one question regard birth date for Ann BOONE, sister of Joseph and Jacob. According to the Boone Bulletin No 9 - 1933-1934 p147 this info: "still living when her father died and she is listed as third child in the Orphan Court Records. Often her bdate is shown as 1749 or abt 1749. Does anyone have her correct bd? Thank you.
