    3. Dear List, I had several questions about this, so I'll respond to the whole list. I found this on HeritageQuest Online through our local library. One of the search tabs is for Revolutionary War Pensions. I submitted a query for Boon in PA, and got several hits. I got one hit for Boone. There was a letter included in the file addressed from A. D. Hiller, Assistant to Administrator to Joe L. Smith of Beckley, WV and dated 21 Nov 1931. It summarized the information in the pension application and proceedings. Here's a brief summary of that letter: Claim No. R 1017 Birth: within 8 miles of York, PA Death: 17 Jul 1835 Date execution of claim: 20 Aug 1833 Age at execution of claim: 78 Residence at execution of claim: Monroe County, VA Service: enlisted in York County in 1777, served 3 years in Captain Spangler's Pennsylvania Company, was in the battle of Camden Married: to Elizabeth Alford or Alfred, 1787 or 1788 in Augusta County, VA Death date of wife: 15 Feb 1841 Children referred to in 1847: John, aged 57 years; Nancy Burdett, aged 53 years; Henry, born 10 Mar 1802; Frances Myres, aged 37 years; and Sally Humphreys, age not given. I hope this is helpful. If you have access to HeritageQuest Online, you can print out or save the entire document. Art Hopkins Arthur Hopkins Federal Way, WA
