    3. Dell, If you're thinking about republishing the 2 volulmes of "Thomas Boon-Isle of Wight" by Rupert Farnham Thompson, I do hope some of the mistakes, especially on my William Boon and Rebecca English line gets corrected. I highly admire Rupert's work, he was a great friend and a rather close cousin of mine, and I was in contact with him when he was writing the books and actually was the one who told him the first name Kinchin, which got him started and I also was the one who found the 'Boddie Reference'. In fact the dark blue book, I received copy 2 and Rupert signed it with a note of thanks. On page 3 under acknowledgements & Thanks, I'm number 2 - Cora Ann (Jobe) Desjardins - today my last name is Brown. *Now a couple of major 'mistakes' that I've tried to correct, at least on my website: --in the book, Rupert got William Boon (of Franklin Co., NC) - his son, Sion Boon and his uncle Sion Boon backwards. This can be proved by checking the notes on my website. -I've also been in contact with several of William Boon (of Franklin Co., NC) descendants and done a lot of research on them. If you check Rupert's book and Boddie's, the dates just do NOT add up. William Boon did have a first marriage (I do not have her name) and by this marriage he had one child, Willis Boon (born about 1770-1774) and Willis married Abigail ? about 1799. Anyone know her maiden name? I have some information on his descendants, but many questions and far from being complete. --Rebecca (English) Boon was born sometime between 1747-1755 NC, probably Bertie County. She died after January 1823 probably in Franklin Co., NC. She married William Boon (of Franklin Co., NC) sometime around 1775-1778 NC. Benjamin F. Boon b. November 25, 1783 who married Anna Winston was their son, as well as Sion Boon born 1784-1787 and married Patience M. about 1809 (need her maiden name) and my Kinchin Boon. When you check the will and put the names in order and with all that I've discovered since then, it all agrees. Both Benjamin and Sion Boon went to the Gibson-Madison Co., TN area. I will be extending my Kinchin Boon site to include William's family and will be posting pictures of Benjamin (also have some Bible records for Benjamin's family) and Sion's family and hopefully some for the descendants of the daugthers. Many of the daughters are still a mystery - but I have discovered that 1) Rebecca Boon married George Goswick 2) Cely 'Cealy' Boon married Hutson 'Hudson' WESTER, 3) Martha Boon married Locky WESTER and 4) Tabitha Boon married Elisha UZZELL III. These I'm pretty sure of. Are there any of the Boon-Wester descendants on this list? If so, would love to hear from you. _Now Sion Boon who went to Morgan Co., GA was a brother (NOT A SON) of William Boon, of Franklin Co., NC. He m/1 Chasey COUNCIL abt 1785 Isle of Wight Co. 3. Hi Ann....I'm in touch with another of your cousins that lives out west, and I'm trying to talk him into republishing the books because there seems to be such a demand for them, someone is always asking about how to obtain one. I've discovered some mistakes too, and the William Boon-Rebecca English family is one of them. Dietz had them connected to my family, which I knew wasn't correct. This cousin also told me that Kinchin traveled to many plantations to educate the student's, which I didn't know. He has many old stories that I felt needed to published. It sounds to me like the tow of you would make a good pair to correct and re-publish Rupert's works. What is the url to your website?
