However, I have just learned [this weekend] that my connection to the Boone's is thru Dinah Boone, daughter of Benjamin Boone [and Susannah Lykins,( Laikan, Lykon)], son of George Boone & Mary Milton Mogridge [Maugridge]. Dinah married Benjamin Tallman, who's daughter Nancy Tallman married Richard Hooker, whose daughter Elizabeth Hooker married Arthur Benton Shearer, whose daughter Rena A. Shearer married John David Mathews, whose son Chester Neal Mathews, whose daughter Carolyn R. Mathews is my mother. If I understand things correctly, Dinah is first cousin to Daniel Boone, the pioneer. Dinah's husband, Benjamin,is the son of Anne Lincoln and William Tallman. Anne Lincoln is daughter of Mordecai Lincoln and Hannah Salter, great great grandparents of President Abraham Lincon.
