    3. Reply to Ivan D. Lancaster (21 Jan 2005) I appreciate your interest in our time capsules for the unmarked graves of three Boones buried in Riverview Cemetery outside Seymour Indiana. And it is interesting that your Lancasters also came from Jackson County and are are in the crypt at Riverview. For the record and future reference the three are Alice,Melvin, and Caroline Boone in section 122C. There are no existing markers and over the years all the Boones who were once prominent Seymour residents have passed away and their relatives long since dispersed across the entire country. My Grandmother Iva Moina (Boone) Bartlett is also buried in Riverview .And it is possible that I may be the only remaining descendent who has knowledge of these three grave sites and a record of their family associations. We plan to come North this coming summer and will bring one of our capsules that has room for computer disks , photographs, and copies of our genealogy as we know it todate. This will definitely be in warmer weather since we will have to use a posthole digger to implant the six 6"inch diameter tubular capsule below the frost line. Also the current weather reports from Indiana indicate that digging would be a little difficult at this time of year. We have already made several versions of these cylinders and can package the various size Computer disk currently on the market. The software will handle different software programs , such as PAF and GEDCOM. along with photos and text describing our Indiana Boones. As attachments to an e-mail message I will send you separately JPEG photos of several capsules we have already constructed. Thanks to my son's company, Xlence Technologies in Plantation Florida, I have access to machine shop facilities in order to fabricate these Time Capsules. When we have a definite schedule for travel this coming summer we will try and arrange an eye ball conversation and visit with you.It should be interesting to compare notes regarding our Indiana roots. My Indiana Boones were all pioneer railroad people working on the O&M as it pushed westward through southern Indiana. Bartletts were involved with the historic Seymour Woolen Mill which is still remember for Lady Seymour Blankets and their white wool Navy blankets with the dark blue anchor in the center. There is no ceremony or formal group going to be at the grave site when we plant the capsule , just us and of course the grounds keepers watching as we wield a hand operated post hole digger. Undoubtedly there will be pictures and a story about our "hole in Riverview " and we will send it off to the COMPASS We appreciate your interest in our "Boone Capsule" and will keep you updated.
