First I would like to thank the submitter of the WEDDLE information to the Boone list. Second, I do believe that the information is flawed. I might also mention that Daniel BOONE son of Squire BOONE and Sarah MORGAN didnot have a brother named John. In other words Squire BOONE and Sarah MORGAN didnot have a son names John. According to Dick OTT's remake on "Whedon's Book on Bohn's" the ancestral line for Elizabeth BOONE who m Rev Andrew WEDDLE on 21 Oct 1811 in Montgomery Co, VA (he the son of Benjamin WEDDLE and Annie Mary EILER and also heir to his father's plantation) is as follows: Johann Diehl BOHNE-BOHN and later BOONE b 1711 in Obermoshel, Pfaltz, GER salied on the ship "Marlborough," to Philadelphia in 1741. He took the "Oath of Allegiance" on 23 Sept 1741 in Philadelphia. With him was his young son Nicholas who was b abt 1736. Nothing has been found on his mother and so she remain's nameless. In April 1750 on the 10th he acquired 50 acres of land near Frizzelburg, Frederick Co, MD no Carroll Co, MD. Johann d in 1764 Frederick Co, MD and is bur in a graveyard on the corner of Mineral Hill & Pine Knob Roads. Joann Diel BOONE m2 Mary DICKER and some say Anna Marie, they had eight children. One of whom was John Bohn BOONE (p7-9 p8 is a Bio of John BOONE and a declaration that this BOONE family "was NOT related to Daniel BOONE, the Frontiersman." p9 has a copy of the will of John BOONE where is son-in-law Andrew WEDDLE and his son Jacob were appointed executors to his last will and testament. Date 24th day of February 1824.) John Bohn BOONE b 1756 d Feb 1825 in Montgomery Co, VA m Elizabeth whose maiden name is unk and they had seven children. Elizabeth BOONE b 3 Sept 1791 in Frederick Co, MD (p10 and 55) d 9 Nov 1850 Floyd Co, VA and is bur in Weddle Cem, Floyd Co, VA. (This information according to Elizabeth Nadine WEDDLE-McKINNEY) and the Tombstone confirms the dates for Elizabeth. Floyd Co was formerly Montgomery Co, VA. Elizabeth BOONE m Andrew WEDDLE b 13 Aug 1787 in Montgomery Co, now Floyd Co, VA on 21 Oct 1811. Andrew became a minister and was noted for his deep, pious Christian character. His family Bible was presented to the Topeco Church of the Brethren by his granddaughter, Mrs Amanda MITCHELL. It was printed in 1814 and has all the names and dates of birth of his 10 children. I do hope this error can be corrected and that those who desc from this Elizabeth BOONE with the thought that they are from George, 111 will finally have their correct lineage and heritage. There are many of the WEDDLE line that show the correct ancestral line.
